Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICK GYARMATHY Suddenly on Sunday, October 22, 2000, at the St. Boniface Hospital Nick, beloved husband of Linda, passed away at the age of 70. Nick was born in Semlin, Yugoslavia, on November 28, 1929. He and his parents came to Canada to join his sister Maria in 1953. He was a carpenter by trade for numerous years, eventually changing to the hospitality industry where he worked at the Dakota Hotel as Beverage Room Manager for 30 years. He then retired from there to begin work at Manitoba Lotteries at Club Regent in the security department. He is survived by his daughter Alice, from Vancouver (grandsons Cory and Chris) daughter Monica, from Toronto (husband Allan; grandchildren Brigitte and Justin) son Ralph from Tucson (wife Lisa, grandsons Jason and Joshua), sister Maria (husband Joe) and numerous nieces, nephews and family in Anchorage, Alaska. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapels, 1501 Waverley Street. Nick will be laid to rest with his parents Joseph and Anna at the Waverley Memorial Gardens. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of 7A South, the Intensive Care Unit and all the doctors at the St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street, R3C 2B7 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, R2L 1X3.
