Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY (MAE) COURAGE At the age of 92, Mae passed away peacefully at the Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home on October 19, 2000. She will be sadly missed by her husband Charlie, her sons, Ken (Myrna) of Gainesville, Florida and Gord (Kathy Ahlbaum) of Winnipeg and her grandchildren, Drew and Marnie of Winnipeg, Cristi Wiltse (Justin) of Atlanta and Carson of Myrtle Bach, South Carolina. She is also survived by her sister Anne Perkins of Lethbridge. She was predeceased by her father and mother William and Mary Hogg, sister Jenny Hogg, Marge Dederick and Grace Birch and brothers Jim and Joe Hogg. Mae was born in Cambuslang, Scotland and moved to Winnipeg with her family at the age of three. She attended Earl Grey School. In 1925, she met Charlie, who she married in 1936. Mae was very dedicated to her family and will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also very sociable and always seemed interested in people. Mae worked for many years with the National Grain Company until retirement in 1969, from then until 1993, Mae and Charlie experienced winters in New Smyrna Beach Florida where they enjoyed some of their happiest times. Many thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at Meadowood Manor, and in particular, for their kindness in the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 4G2. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, entrance on Aubrey Street. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
