Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD HUGH MORRIS Peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2000 at Grace Hospital Edward Hugh Morris aged 88 passed away. Hugh will be fondly remembered by Ted and Mary Lou, Walter, Brenda and Al Kinley, Don and Alberta; grandchildren, Peter, Victor, Wes, James, Laura, and Robert. He was predeceased by his wife Gretta, his daughters, Evelyn and Barbara. Hugh was born November 20, 1911 and grew up in St. James. His work with Schumacher-Mackenzie took him from coast to coast including Montreal, Halifax, Terrace, Edmonton, Inuvik, Churchill and back to Winnipeg. Like his father, he had a green thumb and enjoyed puttering in his greenhouse and garden. He was actively involved with the Scouting movement wherever he lived. Hugh was generous and was always willing to lend a hand. We will remember Dad for his storytelling and wonderful sense of humour. A special thanks to all the Home Care nurses especially Lydia, Lucy and Diana and the staff of 3 North at Grace General Hospital. Friends so wishing may make donations in Hughs memory to the Grace General Hospital Memorial Fund, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 26 at 10:00 a.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
