EDGAR BRUCE SR. On Sunday, October 22, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Edgar Bruce Sr., aged 78 years, beloved husband of Maria Bruce of St. Laurent. Born August 8, 1922. Edgar had lived in St. Laurent most of his life. Surviving besides his wife Maria; his children, Bernice (Joe) Silva, Marge Bruce, Edgar Jr. (Shirley) Bruce, Anita Desjarlais, Andre (Marie) Bruce, Elizabeth (Edward) Birch, Shirley (Larry) Day, Brian (Lorraine) Bruce, Fred (Linda) Bruce, Barbara (Edward) Buors, Armand (Maria) Bruce, Germain (Linda) Bruce, Gary (Denise) Bruce, Dennis (Veronica) Bruce; forty-four grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anita (Leon) Paul, Cecilia (Leo) Allard and Laura (Herb) Perkin; two brothers, Benny (Suzanne) Bruce, Brucy (Donalda) Bruce; one brother-in-law Don Agolini; sister-in-law Annette Bruce; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; three sisters; three brothers and one grandson Lanny. Prayers will be held Friday, October 27 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church yard cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grant Buors, Darcy Day, Keith Chartrand, Steve Bruce, Edgar A. Bruce, Germain Bruce Jr., Bruce Desjarlais and Bob Rose. The family wish to express sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion.
