Died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, October 24, 2000, age 84. Lily, daughter of the late David and Faiga Soudack, predeceased by her husband Myer Mozersky in 1968 and her second husband Aaron Dozar in 1988. She is survived by her sister Anne (Jack) Chernick of New Jersey; brother Moish (Geety) Soudack of Israel; and by her children, Serky (Benjamin) Goldberg of Winnipeg, Ken (Anne) Mozersky of Ottawa, Dan (Joy) Mozersky of Toronto, Ruth (Oscar) Grubert of Toronto; her grandchildren, Harold (Alisa) Goldberg of San Jose, Martin (Sharon) Goldberg of Toronto, Elana (Myron) Schultz of Winnipeg, Judy Mozersky of Ottawa, David Mozersky of Toronto, Joshua (Carole-Anne) Mozersky of Toronto, Lolly Mozersky of New York, Jessica Mozersky of Toronto, Mira (Mike) Couillard of Toronto and David Miller of Toronto; and ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her sister-in law Phoebe Mozersky. She will also be greatly missed by her extended family, Faigie Greaves, Penny (Marvin) Kohn, Marsha Dozar, and their children, David (Tracy) Greaves, Danny (Jill) Greaves, Karen Kohn and Sammy (Sara) Kohn. Lily will be remembered as a person who lived life to its fullest. She lived in Winnipeg her entire life and began her formal education at King Edward School, Peretz Folk Shul and continued at Issac Newton, St. Johns High and the University of Manitoba. She was active in the Jewish and the general community and was past president of the Hanita Chapter of Pioneer Women, the Gimli Summer Club and was Chair of Womens Division of U.J.A. Lily dedicated herself to being a wife and mother. Lily was a woman with a lively curiosity and wide-ranging interests in literature, music, the arts and travel. The funeral was held at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on Wellington Crescent, on Wednesday October 25 and she was buried at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Goldberg, Martin Goldberg, Avi Soudack, David Mozersky, Howard Chernick, David Greaves and Myron Schultz. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. We are greatly appreciative of the care she received both at home and at St. Boniface hospital during her year-long illness with cancer. Donations can be made in her memory to the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba or the charity of your choice.
