ANNIE OZUBKO On Tuesday, October 24, 2000 our mother Annie Ozubko passed away, peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Mike; four brothers, three sisters and son-in-law Orille Lachance. Mom leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Marcia (Bill) Friesen, Margaret, Edward (Rose), Peter, Esther (Henry) Kotyk; seven grandchildren, Karen (Rod), Daryl (Karen), Nadine, Kim (Craig), Kurtis, Tammy and Tracey; as well as five great-grandsons, Justin, Troy, Joel, Evan and Bryce. Mom was born in Hamrlik, Man., on Tuesday, April 18, 1911. Mom and Dad owned and operated a general store in Poplarfield for many years. After Dads demise Mom operated the store for a few years, after which time she moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her children. Mom enjoyed listening to hockey, baseball and football on the radio. Mom also loved Ukrainian Music and often sang along to the "Zabava" program. Prayers will be said on Sunday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., Winnipeg. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. at the Poplarfield Community Centre, in Poplarfield, Man., Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamrlick Cemetery, Hamrlik, Man. Special thanks to the caregivers at Seven Oaks Hospital as well as to the Home Care Workers.
