MARYCAROLE TURNER (nee FONTAINE) 1950 - 2000 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend on October 23, 2000 at the age of 49. Her memory will be forever cherished by her three daughters, Tonya (Glen), Talia and Shauna. She was a beloved grandmother to Dylan and Ashten. She is also survived by her mother and best friend, Nora (Nan) brothers, Vince (Dorothy) and Larry; grandmother Elizabeth Fontaine and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son Chauncy; her father Henry; sisters, Sharon and Shirley; grandparents, Joseph and Louise Spence, Joe-Michel Fontaine of Sagkeeng First Nation. MaryCarole grew up in the Elmwood area of Winnipeg and attended St. Gerard Catholic School where she acquired her love for the Church. At a very young age her love and devotion grew towards the mysteries of the Trinity and developed a zeal to share this with others. Through out her early life she also became known as a hard worker and had kept several jobs while still attending school. She graduated in 1972 with an LPN degree in Nursing and worked for several years at the Childrens Hospital in Winnipeg. In 1983 she graduated from Red River Community College with a RN degree in Nursing. In 1993 MaryCarole earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba. She also furthered her studies in Computers and Theology. MaryCarole loved her family and was very proud of her three daughters. MaryCarole also had a special love for her pets over the years. She was tireless in giving her love to her family and friends. Her home was always open to others and became a special place for us to gather. Shell always be greatly remembered for her unconditional love and support. Prayers and viewing will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 1:00 p.m. (St. Ignatius Catholic Church) and the mass will be shortly after. In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Always in our heart and never forgotten God the Father has called you home
