LEROY FITZGERALD CLARKE It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, brother and friend, on Tuesday, October 24, 2000 after a courageous battle with cancer. Leroy was born in Tobago, on Saturday, November 23, 1940. He and his family moved to Winnipeg in 1969. As a skilled machinist, Leroy took pride in his work and was employed at Canadian Pacific Railway for over 30 years. Leroy took great pleasure in the company of his family and friends. His love of fishing didnt get in the way of his volunteer work, with organizations such as the CaraCana Association, St. Barnabas Church, United Way and the Nomads Football Club. Leroy will forever remain in the hearts and thoughts of his wife Margaret; daughters, Kathy-Ann (John) Pisker; Karen (Micah) Jackson and son Kevin. His memory will also be cherished by his brothers, Fitzroy (Phyllis), Joseph (Joan), Masceline (June), Martin (Cheryl), Alan (Patsy), Hilton (Erman) and his sister Germaine (Donald) his two aunts, Inez, Edna-Mye and uncle Eddie; his sister-in-law Cisley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many relatives and dear friends. Leroy was predeceased by his mother Christina and father Wilford. Prayers and Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 29 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. at The Cathedral Church of St. John, 135 Anderson Ave. The Rev. R.W. English officiating. Interment in the St. Johns Churchyard Cemetery. We would like to thank the many people who helped during Leroys illness; all of his close friends and family for the visits and the time they shared with him. Special thanks to Dr. Tsang, Dr. Schroeder and Dr. Marr and especially all the nursing staff and aids on 3E at Riverview Heath Centre for their support and care.
