ANNA PETERSEN Peacefully, on October 25, 2000 at Oakview Place, Anna Petersen (nee Iversen). Her husband Otto in 1969 and her last and favourite sister, Jenny, predeceased Anna in 1990. Moster Anna was born at Thim, Denmark in 1898. She immigrated to Canada in 1928, accompanying her sister to Saskatchewan. She met her husband and they were married at Ostenfeld, Manitoba in 1941. She resided in Winnipegs North End until 1983 and then resided at Donwood Manor until 1994. She was then a resident at Oakview Place until her passing. Anna was known for the care she displayed for her sister Jenny, and the joy she had at family gatherings relating playfully and humourously with the children of her extended family. She was an accomplished needle worker and an avid reader. Anna was the last of her generation and she will be sadly missed by her nephew, Grant Sorensen and family; her nieces, Anna James and family, Betty Graham and family, especially her great-niece, Helen and her family. Moster held a special place in her heart for them. Her friend of over 50 years, Stella, was very saddened by her loss. Many thanks to the second floor staff at Oakview Place for their care and kindness in making Annas final years as comfortable as possible. A special thanks to Asta for her weekly visits that provided conversation and companionship. Cremation has taken place in accordance with Annas wishes. A private family service is to be held at interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Annas name to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Salvation Army-Manitoba Division. "May you walk with youthful exuberance and laughter Moster Anna. Paa gensyn."
