Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMELFORD CLARENCE SINCLAIR October 7, 1917 - October 28, 2000 Peacefully at the Percy E. Moore Hospital, with his family at his bedside, Melford Clarence Sinclair passed away at the age of 83 years. Melford will be greatly missed by his wife, Gladys; sons, Clarence (Pauline) and Jeff (Melanie) grandchildren, Dennis, Dawn, Jackie, Danielle, Gordon and Mikaila; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Reese and Tiger; sisters, Louise and Lorna; brothers Elmer and Charlie. Melford was predeceased by his son, Michael Dale; his daughter, Charlotte Jane; and a still born son; parents, Jim and Emma; sisters, Bertha McCorrister and Dolly Bird. Melford lived most of his life on the Peguis First Nation Reserve. He enlisted in the Canadian Armoured Corps (Royal Canadian Artillery) at Winnipeg on the 23rd day of June 1942. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He was discharged on the 18th of March 1946. Melford was awarded the following medals: 1939-1945 Star; France and Germany Star; the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. When Melford returned to Peguis, he farmed until the mid sixties, and then he worked off the reserve on carpentry projects in various parts of southern and western Manitoba. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Peguis Senior Centre and to the nursing staff of Percy E. Moore Hospital. Prayers will be held at the Peguis Senior Centre on Sunday, October 29 at 6:00 p.m. Wake Services to follow at Melfords home on Sunday night. On Monday, October 30 services will be held at St. Matthews Anglican Church at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will be at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Wesley Barrett and Rev. Barry Bear officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Matthews Anglican Cemetery. Arrangements Entrusted to ANDERSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME Ashern, Manitoba 1 204 768 3606
