Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURA JEAN CUMMINGS (BURNETT) October 25, 1928 - October 28, 2000 Quietly, with family at her side at St. Boniface Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer our dear wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend passed away. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Jack; daughters, Marilyn Cummings (Frank Biffi) of Edmonton, Diane (Randy) Baert; son Bob of Calgary; sister Marilyn Burnett; brother Lorne (Marge) Burnett of Edmonton and her two granddaughters, Jaclyn and Jenessa Baert. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Laura Mohler, John Mohler, William Burnett and sister Ruth. Jean was born in Bowsman, Man., and moved to Winnipeg in 1949, where she met Jack and was married in 1952. Jean loved to knit, crochet and do needlework as well as tend to her flower gardens. Jean especially loved to spend winters in Hawaii with family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., on Wednesday, November 1, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9.
