K.S. (KWEA SING) HENRY
Date of Passing: Oct 27, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryK.S. (KWEA SING) HENRY It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our dear and loving husband and father, K.S. (Kwea Sing) Henry, who left this earth to join our Lord on October 27, 2000. K.S. was a devoted husband, of nearly 40 years, to Ethel and a loving and caring father to Hilda (David) and Sabrina. A wonderful family man, K.S. also leaves behind his brother, Kwea Leong (Gladys) and his nieces and nephews. K.S. was born in Southern Rhodesia and educated in Hong Kong (St. Stephens College) and Winnipeg (United College, University of Manitoba). After returning to Africa, he chose to come back, with his family, to the Winnipeg he so loved. Together with his wife, Ethel, he began his 18-year contribution to the community of Stony Mountain through his family-run business. He will be fondly remembered for the rich love he had for his family, his witty and dry sense of humour, and for always willing to give so freely to his friends. We would like to extend a special thanks to all our extended family of relatives and friends. In particular, we would like to acknowledge Stony Mountain Fire Department, and the staff of Stonewall Hospital, as well as our own staff at Pick n Pay for their help and support through this difficult time. A Memorial service will be held in Christ Church Anglican, Stony Mountain on Wednesday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Geoffrey Lui will officiate. The service will conclude at the church with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Church Anglican, School Road, Stony Mountain. Dear Dad, May the Lord bless you and keep you, May He make His face to shine upon you, And be gracious to you, May he turn His face toward you, And give you peace. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
