Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN MARY CHARTRAND It is with the deepest sorrow and regret that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister Jean Mary Chartrand. Jean passed away October 28, 2000 at the age of 78. She was born February 17, 1922 in Selby Yorkshire England the eldest daughter of Emily and William McIntosh. Jean immigrated to Canada in 1946 at which time she and her family took residence in Manitobas Interlake district. She was a devoted educator and a long standing member of the Manitoba Teachers Society. Jean was predeceased by her mother in 1966; her father in 1967 and her husband Wilfred in 1996. She leaves to mourn her passing one son Garry; daughter-in-law Sandra; granddaughter Michelle (Tom Turner) grandson Jason; granddaughter-in-law Leanne; great-grandsons, Connor and Spencer; sister Margaret Evans (Rowland) of Stroke-On-Trent, England; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 1 at 2:30 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, Pastor Barry Rasmussen will officiate. Our family extends a sincere "thank you" to Dr. Graham and the nursing staff at Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, MB. Also our sincerest gratitude to the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home in Winnipeg for their devoted care during our mothers illness. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
