EDITH AILEENE AIKENS (Nee BROWN) 1922-2000 Passed away peacefully at her home October 27, 2000 at the age of 78. Edith was born the first child of ten to Thomas and Marie Brown (nee Kerr) of Balmoral. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Evelyn and her beloved husband Alvin. She is survived by three brothers and five sisters; step-children and grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephew. The family would like to thank her niece Lorna for the social and recreational support given to Edith these last five years. Edith was most generous and supportive to those close to her and will be lovingly remembered. By Ediths wish cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens on Friday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street R3B 2H4.
