CHARLES RAYMOND STOKES July 4, 1944 - October 27, 2000 After struggling with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlie Stokes on October 27th, 2000 in his home. Charlie was born on July 4, 1944 in Elma, Man. He spent many years working in Selkirk and was presently residing in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary; his sister Carol and brother Harold. Charlie leaves to mourn his brothers, William and Dougie, Hugh (Sharon) sisters, Ann (William), Lily (Norman), Brenda (Ron), Linda (Bob) and Cindy (Calvin) sister-in-law Geraldine and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with viewing one half hour prior to service. Interment to follow in the Little Britain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Foundation. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
