HENRY ABRAM SCHMIDT 1922 - 2000 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather on Monday, October 30, 2000 at the Pinawa Hospital, Pinawa, MB. Henry Schmidt, aged 78 years, beloved husband of Alice Schmidt of Pinawa, MB. Besides his loving wife, he leaves to cherish his memory children, Craig (Bonnie), John (Moira), Karen (Bob), Gail (Larry), Jeannette; as well as grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Chad, Kara, Chloe, Robyn, Alexander, Allisa and Evan. Also surviving are sisters, Dora Doersam and Helen Hammond; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Henry was predeceased by his brothers, Ed and John. Henry lived and worked in Pine Falls, MB, before he and wife Alice moved to Pinawa in 1998. Henry was an avid outdoorsman, "Happy fishing Henry". The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Pinawa Hospital for the tenderness and compassion shown to our husband, father and grandfather during his time in the hospital. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in Henrys memory on Thursday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Altona, MB. His cremated remains will be interred in the family plot in the Edenburgh Cemetery, Gretna, MB. If friends so desire, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, or to a charity of ones choice.
