Her husband Archie and daughter Janice L. Kay will forever miss her. Gwen was predeceased by her parents Isabelle and Harry Evans; her brother William Kemp; her special sisters-in-law, Gert Kemp and Catherine Flewwelling (nee Kay) and her niece Heather Foreman (nee Kemp). Gwen will be lovingly remembered by her cousin Jenny Williams in Dunbar Scotland; sister-in-law Ethel Crighton (Bob) of Victoria and her children, Heather, David and Glenn; and in Montreal, brother-in-law Doug Flewwelling and his children, Ken and Sandra; by her nephews, John (Noni) Kemp and Bill (Carol) Kemp; niece Carol Kemp, Ted and Lynne Foreman, Barbara Foreman, Bill Foreman, Brian and Marnie Foreman and especially by friends, Mrs. Gwen Evans and Mrs. Ruth Bingham. Gwen was born in Edinburgh Scotland, August 28, 1924, and in 1929 traveled with her mother on the ship "Minnedosa" to Quebec City, then by train to Winnipeg. Living in Fort Rouge, she attended Lord Roberts school, and as a young woman began working at Systems Equipment. She first met Archie at the Winnipeg Auditorium roller rink in the early 1940s and they married in 1949. In 1950 they moved in to their St. Vital home, where they have continued to live, and where they celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on September 24, 2000. By Gwens wish, cremation has taken place, and a private ceremony will be held to inter her ashes at her mothers grave in Brookside Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, Thursday, November 2, 2000 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Archie and Janice would like to extend special thanks to Noni Kemp for her time and support she gave to us all during Gwens final days in St. Boniface Hospital, right up to the last hug. The family would also like to thank Drs. Kramer and Sharma and all of her residents and nurses on Ward 5B St. Boniface Hospital for their dedicated work last week. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, donations in Gwens name may be made to a charity of their choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
