CLOW (nee DOBBIE) Peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2000, with her family at her side, at the Golden Links Lodge, Mrs. Alice Clow was called home by our Lord Jesus at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Harold; brother John; infant son Gordon; grandson Kevin Clow and great-granddaughter Mariah MacPherson. She leaves to cherish her memory sons, David of California and Bob (Eileen) of Winnipeg; daughter Corinne Keena (Gary) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Cindy MacPherson (Bruce), Cory Clow, Leanne Reimer (Marlin), Sean Keena (Helen) three great grandchildren, Kyle MacPherson, Craig Keena, Sydni Reimer, as well as nieces and nephews. Mom was born is Reston, Man., on March 14, 1909. She attended school in Reston and Virden and received a Teaching Certificate from the Brandon Normal School. While teaching school she attended university in the summer and in 1937, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba. She taught school in Boss Hill, Virden, Lord Selkirk School, Lowe Farm and Morris. She met Harold in Virden and they were married in Winnipeg on August 3, 1942. They owned and operated Clows General Store in Morris from 1944 until their retirement in 1965. She enjoyed bridge and having her family home for roast chicken and apple pie. She was actively involved in the community with the Morris United Church, the Eastern Star, the Rebeccas and Pioneer Partners at the Morris Stampede. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morris United Church, Reverend Bob and Myrna Stark officiating. Internment at the Morris Cemetery. Viewing will take place at the church prior to the service. Her family would like to thank the caregivers at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris and Judy and her staff at the Golden Links Lodge for their tender loving care. A special thanks to eight year old Harley for her special friendship with Mom. Flowers gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations to the Morris United Church, P.O.
