Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS (NICK) NIKULIN Suddenly on Tuesday, October 31, 2000, at Grace Hospital, Nicholas Nikulin, aged 82 years, beloved husband of Irene. Nicholas was born in selo Sofiyivka, Eastern Ukraine. He was the only survivor of his family during the Great Famine. Nicholas served in the army during the Second World War and was a prisoner of war in Germany. After liberation he immigrated to Canada and was employed with C.P. Rail for 33 years. He was a lifetime member of Blessed Virgin Mary Parish and the Ukrainian Canadian Veterans Legion Branch 141. Nicholas is survived by his wife Irene; daughter-in-law Sofia; two grandchildren, Nick, Andriy and wife Olena and one great-grandson Nazar. He was predeceased by his son Vasil. Prayers will be sung 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 12:00 p.m. (noon), Saturday, November 4, at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. with Rev. G. Oucharyk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. The strength of his love and devotion to his wife Irene and the rest of his family left a lasting and treasured legacy.
