Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANET "MARGARET" SIMMIE (McNEELANDS) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Simmie on October 31, 2000, born April 2, 1918, in Tummel, MB. to Mary and Clarence McNeelands. Margaret was predeceased by the love of her life Archie in 1988; nephew Brian in 1971; brothers, Chisholm in 1989 and Ewen in1974. She is survived by her sister Mary (Paul) Pifko; nephews, Eldon (Liana) and family, Clayton (Toddy) and family all of Toronto; sister-in-law Gaylia McNeelands; nieces, Heather Zawadowski (Rolf) and girls, Janet Andrews (Gerald) and girls, sister-in-law Jessie Simmie and numerous relatives and friends. Auntie Margaret was a loving and dedicated lady. Her career spanned over many years at the Legislative Building. Margaret loved to travel with Archie, and after his passing she continued travelling attending travel shows, and was a member of Desk and Derrick and volunteered at the Canadian Diabetes Association. Her friends and family were very important to her. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to River East Care Home and all the staff that touched aunties heart especially those on D wing. With special thanks to Tom and Cecily Andrews. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, at Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook Street with Reverend Hatherly officiating.
