HELENA ISAAK Peacefully on November 1, 2000 at the age of 93 years, at the Resthaven Nursing Home in Steinbach, Helena Isaak (formerly of Springstein), our mom, grandma and great-grandma passed on to her heavenly home. She was predeceased by her husband Gerhard; her parents; four brothers and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter and six sons; Helen, Peter and Margaret, John and Elsie, Neil and Christine, Ernest and Marlene, Hardy and Kay and Vic and Marlene; seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Our motherss wisdom was wisdom of action rather than wisdom of words-actions that involved putting the needs of others ahead of her own. Her cheerful smile brightened the lives of those around her. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Resthaven Nursing Home for their attentive and loving care. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Springstein Mennonite Church with Pastor Abe Neufeld officiating. Interment will follow in the Springstein Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel and Saturday prior to the service.
