ERNA ROHLOFF Peacefully, with family at her side, Erna Rohloff passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2000, in Calgary, Alberta. She is fondly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law, Adeline (Wayne) Scheer of Calgary; her brothers, Edward of Dinorwic, Ont. and Lloyd of Vancouver, B.C; her sister-in-law Joan of Edmonton, Alta; her brother-in-law Bill Loeb of Beausejour, Man. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Katie Daher, Lydia Rahn and Olga Loeb; her brothers, Julius, Adolph, Fred, Bill, Martin, Henry and Herb; her brothers-in-law, Ted Daher and Bill Rahn, and her sisters-in-law Annie, Tillie, Kay and Charlotte. Erna was born in Golden Bay, Man. on February 16, 1914 to Gottlieb and Amelia (nee Sommerfeld) Rohloff. Her early years were spent in Winnipeg. She dedicated many years of service in residential schools, including schools at Kenora, Sioux Lookout, Alert Bay, Fort George and Punnichy. She spent her retirement years in Beausejour and Calgary. Her last years were spent at the home of Adeline and Wayne Scheer. Erna was a warm and generous person. She was part of a large and caring family where siblings have always been there for one another. She treated all her nieces and nephews as her own children, and they will cherish her memory forever. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour, Man. with Pastor Roger Paavola officiating. Interment will follow in the Golden Bay Cemetery. There will be viewing on Friday, November 3, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel.
