Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN HENRY OUELLETTE On Monday, October 30, 2000 at Concordia Hospital, Alan Henry Ouelette, aged 49 years passed away. He is survived by his wife Kathleen and his children, Karen, Jason, Amanda, Rebecca, Pamela and Erin; his sisters, Shirly Armstrong and Sharon Boisseneault and his brother Paul Ouellette as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Alan was predeceased by his mother and father, Ina and Henry Ouellette. Alan was an inspiration to all as he spent years courageously fighting Hepatitis C, chissosis, heart attack and strokes. He struggled valiantly to stay with those who loved him but our merciful Lord decided it was time to relieve him of all his burdens and called him home. I walked with you as long as I could. Our years were many, our days were good. I watched you fade slowly, day by day; My heart wept tears, I hid them away. I could not show you weakness or grief, I gave to you strength and staunch belief, We walked the road til the final mile, We came at last to that one-way stile. The time stood still as we said farewell, In my mind I heard your funeral knell. You pushed through the gate and passed on alone, I waved goodbye. The road is your own. I let you go, as I knew I should, My selfish thoughts I have now withstood. I turned away from the final gate, You went beyond to an unknown state. I traced my steps to my own small road, Alone I carry my earthly load. To this same gate I will come again, When, my heart, my breath, my life will wane. By myself at this place Ill pass through, A new place, a new form, well start anew. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Concordia Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. in the Waves of Glory Full Gospel Chapel, 364 Furby St., Winnipeg with Pastor Peter Braun officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Vital Cemetery. Rock Fontaine Funeral Services, Winnipeg, in care of arrangements, (204) 229-3675.
