Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH ERNEST WHITFORD 1938 - 2000 On Wednesday, November 1, 2000, at the Ste. Rose General Hospital following a lengthy illness, Joseph Whitford passed away at the age of 62 years. Joseph was born on May 11, 1938, at Amaranth, Man. Joseph was predeceased by his parents William and Julia Whitford; one sister Sadie Roulette; and two children, PeggyAnn and Little Joe Whitford in 1964; his in-laws, Jerry and Alice Houle; three brothers-in-law, Stanley and Alfred Houle and Geordie Malcolm; two sisters-in-law, Edna Flett and Gladys Whitford. Left to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories are his beloved wife of 39 years, Gladys; his children, Robert and wife Kathleen, Glenda and husband Floyd, Sheila and husband Wayne; his grandsons, Trevor, Bruce, John, Robby, Gregory, Steven, Bradley, Wayne, Craig, Benjamin and Brett; his granddaughters, Laura, Kaitlin, Alice, Kalene, Keanna and one great-granddaughter Tanishia; his brothers, Solomon, James and wife Diane, Raymond and wife Mary, Edward and wife Sandra, Danny and wife Donna, Wayne and friend Gwen; his sisters, Madeline, Betty and husband Dave, Beatrice and husband Stan, Nancy and husband Michael, Linda, Eleanor and husband Terry and Gertrude and husband Tim; three brothers-in-law, Russell and wife Margaret Houle, Lionel Houle, George Houle; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Houle and Leona Malcolm; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends and fishing buddies. Prayer and wake services will be offered on Friday, November 3, at 7:00 p.m. from the Hillridge Complex. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m. from the Amaranth Our Lady of the Angels Roman Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Okwaraoha officiating with the interment to follow in the Amaranth Haven of Rest Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Joseph to the Prevost Foundation in care of the Ste. Rose General Hospital, Box 60, Ste. Rose du Lac, Man., R0L 1S0. Ste.
