GEORGINA V. MATHIAS On October 31, 2000, Georgina Mathias died peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 90 years. Georgina was born and raised in Winnipeg and her working career was spent with Eatons. She met and married Carol Mathias in Winnipeg. The couple spent over 50 wonderful years together and were blessed with one son, Donald. Georgina will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, her sense of humour, her silent strength and determination, and as someone who lived her life to the fullest. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Heaton; her grandsons, Greg and Paul; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband Carol; her son, Donald; a sister, Olive; and brothers, Charles and James. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations in Georginas memory may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Avenue, R3E 0V9.
