LONGLEY (nee PALMER) Dorothy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2000 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 97 years. Dorothy leaves to mourn her son Jack (Maisie), son Roy (Elsie) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Alice, Betty and Mae Palmer, also many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her family and good friend Florence McDougall. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; sons, Bob and Bill, five brothers, two sisters and her mother and father. Dorothy was born in England in 1903. She was the Silver Cross Mother at the Weston Legion. Dorothy had a real zest for life and lived it to the fullest. Many thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street.
