MARY GALUSZKA (nee DUDZIAK) It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our Mom, with her son and daughter at her side, in the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 74. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Dorothy; son Ted (Sandra) three granddaughters, Jennifer, Erin and Jill; one sister Janina and family of Belgium and many relatives in Poland. Mom was predeceased by her husband Walter in February of 1976, and most recently her eldest son Stan in January of 2000. Mom was born in Poland on November 30, 1925 and immigrated with her family to Belgium prior to the Second World War. In 1948 Mom met and married Walter Galuszka, they had one son while living in Belgium. In 1954 they decided to immigrate to Canada, living and working in Winnipeg for two yearsthen moving to Hadashville where they worked very hard to build the family farm. After her husbands passing Mom began work at Pineland Nursery where she worked until her retirement ten years ago. Mom was a very independent person who loved her Bingo outings and visiting her many friends. But she especially cherished her family get-togethers which were usually every weekend, when she would cook all of our favourite dishes. The family would like to thank the ambulance staff from both Reynolds and Steinbach, both the Ste. Anne and St. Boniface Hospitals for all your compassion and for making our Mom comfortable to the end. The family would also like to thank all the friends and neighbours for all their support in this very sad time. As Mom requested, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held. Mom will be laid to rest beside her son Stan in Holy Angel Mausoleum at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers and cards, donations may be made in Moms memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8. IM FREE Dont grieve for me, for now Im free, Im following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard His call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found the peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, O yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. Ive savored much, good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Dont lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee, God wanted me now. He set me free! "Mom we will miss you, but your memory will stay on forever in our hearts". GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
