Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH SHYMANSKI Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 1, 2000 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Joseph Shymanski passed away at the age of 82 years. Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife Beatrice; his parents, John and Katherine; brothers, Bill and Paul (of Toronto) and brother-in-law Stan Parker. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son Stan (Adeline) grandchildren, Jason (Brenda) and Janet; sisters-in-law, Mavis Parker and Steffie Shymanski (Toronto) and their families and his friend Nellie. Joseph was born and educated in Winnipeg. After serving in the Armed Forces, he was employed as a Spray Paint Foreman at Quality Bed and Spring Co. He then worked at C.A.E. Aircraft as a Storesman for 31 years until his retirement in 1981. In the earlier years, Joe enjoyed bowling and woodworking. He was an avid dancer and enjoyed social functions. He spent many enjoyable summers at the family cottage at Winnipeg Beach. He was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, New Horizon Ukrainian Senior Citizens Club, and 141 Legion. Prayers will be held on Sunday, November 5, at 4:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. G. Oucharyk and Rev. Deacon Nicholas Kohuck officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Josephs memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 310-352 Donald St., Wpg., R3B 2H8 or a charity of ones choice.
