DIANE ELIZABETH STEWART After a brief illness, it is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our sister Diane Stewart on November 1, 2000 in Quebec City. Diane was predeceased by her parents, Lillian (nee Canvin) and Bert Stewart. She leaves to mourn her passing, her brothers and sisters, Herb, Charles (Wendy), James, Marguerita Chapel (Chester), Valerie Robinson (Rob) and Virginia Stewart. As well as her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Born in Selkirk, MB, on April 10, 1951, she attended school in Cloverdale and Selkirk, moving to Winnipeg after graduation to attend the University of Manitoba. Diane always had a passion for the french language and decided to further her education in Quebec, moving to Ste. Foye, Quebec in 1975 and making it her home. She attended Laval University, obtaining a degree in Computer Science. Diane went on to work for Telecome as a computer programmer. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 7 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Interment to follow in the Cloverdale United Church yard. The family wishes to thank friends and coworkers at Telecome for their kindness and help during Dianes illness. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Wpg, MB R3E 0V9 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Wpg, MB R3C 0S6.
