BARRY LATTA It is with great sadness that after a lengthy struggle with cancer, Barry Latta passed away peacefully on October 31, 2000 at the age of 35 years. Barry was born and raised in Winnipeg. Prior to his illness, he was employed by Alliance Group as a truck driver. Barrys passion was spending many hours in his garage working on vehicles and visiting with friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 18 years, Lisa and his two boys, Darcy and Justin; as well as his parents, Ted and Sally Latta; sister Shelley Rudyk (Rob) grandfather William Latta (Pat) mother-in-law Elsie Longley; brothers-in-law, Robert, Cecil (Carol), Billy (Lee-Anne), Jason and sisters-in-law, Judy (Jim), Jacquie (Brent), Debbie (Keith), Donna and Jo-Anne; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Albert and Margaret Larsen and Ella May Latta. The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion and understanding. Special thanks to Christine for helping make Barrys stay at home possible and to Lee (Care Provider) for his exceptional patience, and for offering Barry friendship as well as personal care. Prayers will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 6 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 730 McPhillips St., with Father English officiating.
