ARTHUR EICHLER After a courageous battle with cancer, Art passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital on November 2, 2000. Art was born at Minitonas, Man., on April 13, 1938. He spent his younger years and early adult life there, where he took over the family farm for a number of years. He later moved to Winnipeg, where he worked at various jobs. He was predeceased by his loving parents, William and Olga Eichler. He is survived by his wife Wilma; stepson Romel; his special friend Rebecca; his sisters, Mary Huff, Martha Parker, Ruth Wallie; niece Marlene Cychmistruk (Alex) niece Adline Day (Stephen) nephew Ken Parker (Margaret) great-nephews, Clinton and Chancellor; great-nieces, Lindsey, Tiffany, Skye. Also many cousins and their families. A special thank you to the nursing staff at the Grace Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Also the wonderful Salvation Army Personnel for their concern and kindness shown. Many thanks to Pastor Clerc for his visits and prayers for our brother in the hospital. Also, to all who visited during his lengthy stay in the hospital, and shared in some of his humour. Free from pain at last he has gone to be with the Lord. Thanks in advance to Pastor Olney for conducting the service. Funeral Service will be held at Voyage Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
