HARRY CLARKE With great sadness his wife and family announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Peacefully on November 3, 2000 at the Bethel Hospital in Winkler, MB Harry Clarke passed away at the age of 91. Harry is survived by his wife Wynne of Carman; sons, Graham (Vera) of Inwood, MB, Kevin of Foxboro, ON; daughter Drinda Poustie (Donald) of Winnipeg and cherished grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Bob and Gilbert of Winnipeg; sisters, Jean Pierce of Peterborough, Ont. and Lillian Paley of Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy and his brother Jim. Harry was born and raised in Winnipeg, and as a young man became a commercial artist with Brigdens where he worked for 47 years until his retirement. He studied art with Lemoine Fitzgerald at the Winnipeg School of Art. Harry was past president of the Manitoba Square Dance Federation. Dad loved nature and had a strong appreciation of beauty in all forms. Wynne fondly remembers their frequent walks that they shared over the years. The family remembers with love our river home, summer holiday trips, Dads wonderful sense of humour, and the many family gatherings. The family wishes to thank the staff at Boyne Lodge in Carman and the staff at Bethel Hospital for their compassionate care. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harrys name can be made to Carman United Church or Boyne Lodge Personal Care Home in Carman.
