Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCIEN GERALD RIVARD October 10, 1920 - November 3, 2000 Lucien passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on November 3, 2000 at the age of 80 at Centre Tache. Lucien will be lovingly remembered by his 13 children; Gilbert (Normelita), Jules (Jeanette), Mariette (Sisters of Mission Service), Rolande (Eugene), Mona (David), Charles-Emile, Paul, Jo-Anne (Rene), Alain (Jocelyne), Florent (Janeen), Guy (Brigitte), Lise (Jim), Marc (Caroline) the mother of his children, Noella; 26 grandchildren, Neil, Garry, Jasmine, Julie, Terry, Carmen, Louanne, Gina, Ioan, Suzanne, Stephanie, Kevin, Jennifer, Dominique, Michel, Stephan, Paul, Shayn, Travis, Stacie, Tess, Ryan, RaeAnn, Natalie, Justin. Jeremy; four great grandchildren Crystal, Alexander, Matthew, Keenan; as well as many other family and friends. Lucien grew up in St. Eustache, Man. His love of farming led him to later marry and raise his family there until he was diagnosed with MS in 1975. Lucien was well known for his active involvement in the community which included numerous local clubs and organizations. His hobbies included buying and selling automobiles, traveling in his motor homes, entertaining family and friends and making home movies. Everyone who knew Lucien was touched by his love of people and his spirit of giving. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. at la Cathedrale de Saint Boniface with Mgr. Albert Frechette presiding. Silent prayers at 1:30 p.m. will precede the mass. The family would like to thank the staff, pastoral care and volunteers at the Centre Tache for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the M.S.
