He settled in Pine Ridge where he met and married Mom (Bertha) and raised their eight children on the farm through very difficult but happy times. We always looked forward to Christmas when the family got together and Dad sang whole heartedly in his beautiful baritone voice. Dads willingness to share his life experiences was one of the qualities that made him an outstanding role model. He was a very independent person who preferred doing things himself. Dad took great pride in his gardening any task was not too big or too small. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Nurses and Staff at the Misericordia Health Centre, St. Boniface Hospital ICU and Palliative Care Unit for their kind and compassionate care. Prayers will be said on Monday, November 6, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with a Basilian Father officiating.
