GORDON KENNETH JONES Peacefully, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret we announce the death of Gordon Kenneth Jones, at the tender age of 54 years, on Saturday November 4, 2000, at Riverview Health Centre. Ken was predeceased by his father Mel, and survived by his wife Irene; son Casey; daughter-in-law Wendy; grandson Dylan; mother Marion; brother Jim and wife Vera; mother-in-law Alice Paradis; in-laws Dennis and Gwen; John and Linda of Florida, Sylvia and Wally, nieces and nephews Shayle, Karen and family, Valerie, Chris and family, and Edward. Ken was born in Winnipeg on March 19, 1946. Ken and father-in-law Edmond were in the trucking and service station business for several years. This was one of the most rewarding parts of his life. In his spare time, Ken loved fishing, and hunting with family and friends. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion Street. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Thanks to all family members, friends, and Norwood Legion Branch No. 43 for their support. Special thanks to Dr. Marr, all the nurses and staff of 3-E Riverview Health Centre for taking care of the "candy man" whom without their exceptional loving care and support, would of made for an extremely difficult time.
