Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILIO DELA CRUZ Peacefully surrounded by his family, Emilio passed away on November 5, 2000 at the age of 78 years at the Riverview Health Centre. Emilio was born September 10, 1922 in Estatancai Iloilo, Philippines and moved to Winnipeg in 1983 with his children. Dad was a loving and caring husband and father; nothing meant more to him than the happiness of his children. He was a very loving and proud grandfather. His generosity wont be forgotten. He is survived by his beloved wife Adela of 55 years; children, Edward and wife Elisa, Henry, Emily, Roberto and wife Gloria, Helen and husband Dan, Emilio Jr. and wife Mercy, Gilda and husband Rey, Emydel and husband Al, Edgar, Ricky and wife Anna; grandchildren, Michael, Tiffany, Gilbert, Jonathan, Alem, Alemar, Mark, Daniel, Jelynn, Roberto Jr., Emerson, Emderson and Elizabeth; sisters, Conchita Salmorin, Linda and husband Noli and wife Lita of the Philippines. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all his family relatives and friends both in Canada and the Philippines. Lamay (viewing) will be on Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Prayers will be said on Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m. Pallbearers are Gilbert Dela Cruz, Al Regala, Rey Pili, Rey Mansilla, Protacio Regalado, and Dan Jabungan. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 355 Andrews St. at Mountain Ave., with Fr. Dado Parrenas officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
