Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW MATSON May 20, 1925 - November 6, 2000 Andy passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2000 at the Grace General Hospital, with his family at his side. Andy was born and raised in Gonor and lived for most of his life in Lockport. He worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mills for 34 years until taking early retirement due to health reasons. Andy enjoyed coaching and following his families baseball careers. Andy leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish him memory, his wife of 51 years Jean; his sons Rick, Craig (Maureen), Ian (Wanda), and Ron; two daughters Kathy (Tim) and Chrisy (Ken) daughter-in-law Wanda; nine grand-children and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sisters-in-law Lorna Wallace and Lynn Billington, brother-in-law Raymond Billington and Jenny, and brother Steve, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Andy was predeceased by his parents Mike and Tina, son Lawrie, brothers-in-law Hector and Earl Billington, as well as father and mother-in-law Ernest and Ethel Billington and second wife of Ernest, Emma. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Old St. Andrews Anglican Church with Rev. Stephen officiating. Cremation has taken place with interment of ashes at a later date in the Parish Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to the St. Thomas Memorial Building Fund, Lockport, P.O., R0C 1W0. The family would like to thank the paramedics, doctors and nurses at the Selkirk General and Grace General Hospital, and to Dr. Wozny and the Homecare nurses.
