WILLIAM GEORGE JONES Peacefully, on November 10, 2000 at his residence, William (Bill) Jones, age 74 years of Ashern, MB. William (Bill) Jones was born on August 21, 1926, to Thomas and Sarah Jones. Bill is survived by his wife Edith to whom he was married for 43 years. He is also survived by his children, Barbara (Stan) Edinger of MacGregor, MB, granddaughter Sheryll Bouler of Calgary, AB; son John Erickson of Ashern, MB; daughter Linda (Ken) Lawrence of Birtle, MB; grandchildren Carrie of Winnipeg; Janet (Randy) Sandstrom of Birtle, MB; Jaret (Kim) Lawrence of Sifton, SK; Kit Lawrence of Winnipeg; daughter Debbie (Blaine) Jones of Hilbre, MB, grandchildren Jay and Paige; son Duane (Lise) Jones of Inwood, MB, granddaughter Jillan of Inwood, MB; son Bradley (Dianna) Jones of Abbotsford, BC; great-grandchildren, Cristian Sandstrom, Darian Lawrence, Wyatt Sandstrom and Dage Lawrence. Bill is also survived by is sister Shirley (Roy) Krentz of St. Andrews, MB; brother Tom (Agatha) Jones of Abbotsford, BC. Also numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Violet and Winnie and his brothers Leonard and Jim. In honour of Dads request, a private memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dads friends and extended family for their many acts of kindness shown to Dad over the years. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Doctors and nursing staff of the Lakeshore General Hospital for the excellent care given to Dad throughout his illness. Special thanks to Patsy Klyne and the homecare workers. A very special thanks to Dave and Francis.
