Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY BETH MILLER (nee ALLEN) Mary Beth Miller (nee Allen) was born on January 7, 1897, daughter of John and Ellen (McGee) Allen at Mount Forest, Wellinton County, Ontario. She would learn to appreciate the benefits of a large family, sharing the life and the love of two brothers and nine sisters. In 1908 Beths father caught the lure of the west and moved with his family to Spy Hill, Saskatchewan to homestead. It was there that Beth would meet and then marry Montague Miller in 1920. To Monte and Beth were born three children, Montague Allen (Pickering, Ont.), Alice Eldeen, late of Winnipeg and Regina (1923-1996), and Brian Arthur (Regina, Sask.). As a family they would relocate five times - in order: Archerwill, Clair, Regina, Kelliher and Tate, following Montes work with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. In 1947, having retired from the Wheat Pool, Monte moved Beth and the family to Grandview, Man., where they would reside together until Monte passed away in 1967. Beth stayed on independently in Grandview until moving to Winnipeg to live with her daughter Eldeen in 1977. Later, after Eldeens retirement the two decided to move to Regina, where Beth lived until her death December 3, 2000. In a life that was lived in three different centuries, Beth filled her time with friends and with family, sharing her energy and talents with her church and her community. She was active in a variety of clubs and organizations including the Eastern Star. She loved to garden and arrange beautiful bouquets from the flowers she grew. Beth Miller could well be described as a true pioneer of the West, witnessing many changes, good times and bad times. Beth was predeceased by her husband Montague Miller, daughter Eldeen, and all of her brothers and sisters. Beth is survived by sons, Montague Allen Miller (Muriel), Pickering, Ont., Brian Miller (Elaine), Regina, Sask; five granddaughters and one grandson; two great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Regina Lutheran Home Chapel, 1925-5th Ave. N., Regina, Sask., with Pastor Dennis Fingas and Pastor Craig Moeller officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Man., at a later date. God bless our memory of Mary "Beth" Miller. Arrangements are in the care of LEE FUNERAL HOME 306-757-8645
