Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUKHDEV SINGH KLER November 13, 1949 - November 10, 2000 Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, November 10, 2000, 8:10 p.m., Sukhdev entered the next stage of his life at the age of 50. Sukhdev Kler will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Malkit; children, Manjinder, Gurinder, Kulwinder; granddaughter Teji; brothers, Mehr and Kehr; sister Balvinder and numerous family and friends in India, England and North America. He was predeceased by his parents, Nazar Singh and Bhag Kaur. Sukhdev was born and raised in Chuhar Chak, Punjab, India. He married Malkit in 1971, lived in Australia for a very short time and moved to Winnipeg in 1972. Sukhdev started working as a welder in Versatile and C.P.Rail, owned Moons Pizza, moved on to working for Unicity Taxi and eventually Duffys Taxi. Sukhdev was an active member for Duffys. He has served as the Chairman and President of the Duffys board. He was a very knowledgeable person about the taxi industry. Sukhdevs greatest love was saved for his dear wife, children and granddaughter, whom he cherished immensely. They were the purpose of his life. His greatest regret will be that he will not be with his family when they complete their education and enter their career and married lives. Appreciation is extended to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, 4th floor. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of their choice. In his memory an Akhand Path ceremony will start on Thursday, November 16 at 5:00 p.m. at Singh Sabha Winnipeg, 4000 Sturgeon Rd. A funeral Mass will be held at Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Ave. at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18. After the funeral the Bhog ceremony and the last prayers will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Singh Sabha.
