PATRICIA McPHERSON It is with great sorrow that we have to announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Patricia McPherson, who passed away November 9, 2000, among family in Seven Oaks Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Katie Watson, and by her brothers, Earl and Charlie Watson. Her beloved husband Ronald McPherson passed away in 1983. Pat is survived by her daughter Janet (Robert) Mackenzie; grandchildren, Christopher, Lesley and Heather; by her son Glenn; brother Alf (Frances) sisters-in-law, Bessie Watson and Noreen Watson and families. Also survived by a sister-in-law Hazel Scott and brothers-in-law, Bill (Dolly) McPherson and Robert Greentree. Patricia was born May 6, 1922 on the family farm in Kaleida, Man. After living in various communities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, she came to reside in Transcona. Pat and Ron enjoyed travelling around North America in their motorhome, and loved to attend Shrine events, visit family and see the sights. After her husbands passing, she continued to enjoy travelling to meet family and attend square dance events. Pat was an active member of a square dance club in Greendale Community Club. She loved to play cards and was a longtime Blue Jays fan. Viewing will be held Tuesday evening, November 14 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Services will be held at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W. at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15 with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Vital Cemetery. The family extends special thanks to fifth floor medicine at Seven Oaks General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Pats memory to the Cardiovascular Research, St. Boniface Hospital. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
