Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA BIRD (nee MICHANIUK) Peacefully on November 12, 2000 at the Betel Home in Gimli, Anna Bird aged 86 years formally of Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba. Anna was born August 19, 1914 at Vita, MB. In 1920 she moved with her parents to the St. Martin area, where she attended school at Karpaty School. Anna moved to Winnipeg where she worked at Westons Bakery, she moved to Vancouver Island, where she worked for Safeway. In 1968 Anna moved back to Winnipeg and in 1971 she married Jack Bird. In 1974 Anna and Jack retired to Winnipeg Beach. She leaves to mourn son Bill and family; stepson Jim and family; stepdaughter Joyce and family, stepdaughter Linda and family; a sister-in-law Esther Michaniuk of St. Martin, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Mike and Pearl; three brothers Nick, John and Bill, and a sister Olga Couplend. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the Winnipeg Beach United Church with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating, luncheon to follow. Viewing at the church prior to the service. A funeral service will also be held on Friday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gypsumville community hall with Rev. Stan Fowke officiating. Viewing at the hall prior to the service. Interment to follow at the St. Martin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrooke Street, Winnipeg. Funeral arrangements pending.
