SIGRID HELEN BISSETT (nee OLAFSSON) 1923 - 2000 The family sadly announces Sigrids sudden passing on November 11th, at Morden General Hospital. She is lovingly remembered by husband Robert; step-son Brian (Sandra) with children Eric and Dylan; step-son Scott (Valerie) with children Holly, Paige, and Logan; brother Clarence (Jean) sister-in-law Shirley; cousins Steini Thorsteinson, Nancy Ipsen, Anna Johnson, Dave Thurston, and Einar Olafsson; nephews David and Kevin Olafsson; Heather Loiselle and Beppie Sharp. She was predeceased by her parents and in 1992, her brother Herb. Sigrid survived radical cancer surgery in 1986 and had traveled extensively before and since. This world has lost a fiercely proud Icelander. She was a gentle and sensitive person who saw only the best in everyone. Mizpah According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Saturday, November 18, at 12:30 p.m. The Reverend Brian Minaker, from St. Thomas Anglican Church, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sigrids memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 2B7, or to a charity of your choice.
