RUTH MARIE BURDEN (nee WATSON) Suddenly, on Friday, November 10, 2000 at the Leaf Rapids Health Centre, Mrs. Ruth Burden, aged 39 years, beloved wife of Perry Burden of Leaf Rapids. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Leaf Rapids Town Theater, with Capt. Gary Keeping officiating. Ruth was born on December 30, 1960 in Ajax, Ontario and grew up in Portlaw, Ontario. She moved to Leaf Rapids with her family in 1981. She left Leaf Rapids and moved to Saskatchewan in 1982 then to Brandon, Fort Frances and to Lynn Lake in 1983. In 1985 she moved back to Leaf Rapids. She was employed by the Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting in the first aid station. Ruth enjoyed life to the fullest and her family was her life, she spent all of her free time with them. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Perry; daughter Shannon; of Leaf Rapids, father Robert Watson of The Pas; sisters, Cathy (Jim) Andrychuk and nephew James of The Pas and Linda (Murray) Fenwick of Collingwood, Ontario; brothers, Barry Watson and niece Halley and nephew B.J. of Regina, Saskatchewan and Gerry Watson (Shirley) of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, plus numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ruth was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth (Betty) Watson of Lynn Lake in 1997 and sister-in-law Elizabeth Watson of Regina in 1999.
