Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERMINA MARTZ (nee BRIX) It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Omi, on Tuesday, November 14, 2000, at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mom was born in Angeloefka, Poland on April 7, 1920 and came to Canada in 1949. She leaves to mourn her sons, Carl and Mark; daughter Barbara and granddaughter Lisa, also her dearest sister Julie Sellner (Calgary) sisters-in-law, Wilhelmina Brix (Germany), Maria Brix (Calgary) and Zita Lalonde; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bernie and Rosemarie Martz (Tacoma, Wash.), and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Germany. Mom was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Barbara Brix, her husband Eugene, as well as eleven brothers and sisters. She worked at Perths-Whitehall for many years, where she made many lifelong friends and retired in 1984. Mom enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, bowling and especially playing cards. She faithfully attended St. Josephs Church for the last 50 years, where she was a member of the C.W.L. and the Golden Age Club. Prayers will be said on Sunday, November 19, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrews, with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Horst and Greg Eckes, Albert Kollinger, Keith Lalonde and Larry and Jeremy Leroux. Special thanks to Dr. S. Szajkowski and Dr. W. Czarnecki and nurse Janice, also the nursing staff 5th Flr., U-3 and U-6 at Seven Oaks Hospital. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8.
