DOROTHY B. WHYTE On November 14, 2000 at the Central Park Lodge, Dorothy B. Whyte, aged 97 years, died peacefully. She was predeceased by her husband Clarke in 1979. Dorothy was born in Toronto. Her family moved to Fort William and after graduating from Branscombe Hall in Toronto, she taught school in Fort William for a number of years. During this time she met her husband and together they had four children. Many happy summers were spent at the family camp at Silver Islet, Ontario. Dorothy and family moved to Winnipeg in 1952 where she became involved in the various activities at St. Aidans Anglican Church and has been a member there for 48 years. Surviving are her daughter Dorothy Anne Clarke (Bob) of Thunder Bay; sons, Darrell (Joan) of Winnipeg, Ian (Joan) of Calgary and Bruce (Cheryl) of Ottawa; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with the Reverend Dr. Murray Henderson officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot in Mountain View Cemetery, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Special thanks to mothers close friend and companion, Helen and to the staff at the Central Park Lodge, in particular Betty and Eliece. No flowers by request. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
