In 1941 Janina and Waclaw Smolinski were married. During the next few years they lived in Toronto and then Fort Whyte, Man., before returning to Poland with their three young children for a six month visit. Upon their return to Canada, Janina and her husband purchased a farm in the Clandeboye area, where they farmed until their retirement. Janina was a generous, loving, woman who was totally dedicated to her six children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of two additional great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, which was filled with many trials and tribulations, Janinas constant source of strength was her deep faith in the Lord. Her greatest desire was to pass this faith onto her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends but they are comforted in knowing that Grandma is with her Jesus.
