EMIL SVEISTRUP JOHNSON "PAPA" Surrounded by the love of his family, Emil passed away after a lengthy illness at the Stonewall Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dorothy; daughter Myrna (Larry) son Darrell (Kim) and grandchildren Teena (Greg), Nathan, Coleman, Devan; brothers Lindberg (Sherle), Ronny (Barb) brothers-in-law Sveini Gillis, Lyall Wilkinson (Denise) sisters-in-law Eva Bjornson (Kari), Linda Wilkinson and many nieces and nephews. Emil was born in Lundar on June 15, 1932. He was employed with Manitoba Hydro for 32 years retiring in 1992. Emil loved baseball especially his slo-pitch. He was so proud of the gold medal he won this past June. He also enjoyed carpentry, crafts and most of all the love of his family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 21 at 2:00 at Westlake Community Centre in Eddystone, Man. Interment at Willowgrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Emils memory to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation. Papa you will always be missed. We love you!!
