Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN W. HANNON On Sunday, November 19, 2000, at St Boniface Hospital, after a long struggle with Parkinsons Steve passed away. Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Eileen; his son David and wife Marion, and Marions son Cory Phillips; his son Ron and wife Gisele and grandsons, Derek, Sean and Andrew. Steve is also survived by his brother Ed and wife Ellen of Kelowna; his sister Pat Ferguson and husband Frank of Radville, SK.; his brother-in-law Bernard Clark and wife Kathy of Warrington England; his sister-in-law Fran of Calgary and his sister-in-law Steffie of Winnipeg and his nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, George and Bruce and his brother-in-law, John Clark. Steve was born in Rainy River, Ontario in 1921 and lived almost his entire life in Winnipeg. He enlisted in the army early in the Second World War and served overseas in the Canadian Army, Second Division, Corps of Signals from 1940-1945. Steve and Eileen were married in London in 1944. On return from overseas, Steve was employed by Canada Packers, the CNR, and for the last 27 years of his working career by Canada Post Corporation. He was very active in the Credit Union movement in Manitoba and also with his union, the Association of Postal Officials of Canada. Steve was a member of St Boniface Golf Club for many years and the Norwood-St Boniface Branch of the Canadian Legion. We, the family, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the people who cared for Steve over the last 15 months. Flowers are gratefully declined. If his friends so wish, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street with Fr. Joseph Tran officiating. Service will terminate the Church. A reception will follow in the Church basement. There will be a private family interment of Steves cremains at a later date.
