Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIBALD BRATTKUS With deep sorrow the family announce the passing of Willibald Brattkus, beloved husband, father and grandfather, on Monday, November 20, 2000, at Riverview Health Centre. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue with interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Willibald will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Christine; daughter Irene; son Thomas; grandson Seth; sisters, Inge, Ruth, Irma, Monika, and Hildegard. Brothers, Helmut Manfred and Gunter and their families; brother-in-law Arnold Hirschkorn, sisters-in-law, Elfriede Franke, Olga Siegert and their families. He was predeceased by his brothers, Konrad and Hans-Jurgen. Willibald was born in East Prussia and as a youngster fled his home due to the Second World War. He came to Canada in 1956 and settled in Winnipeg. He was a member of the Boiler Makers Union, Local 555, and retired in 1987. Willibald enjoyed going fishing and hunting. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. The family wish to express sincere thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre for all their care, compassion and kindness towards Willibald while he was a patient there. Flowers gratefully declined. If his friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice. "We love you and will miss you, till we meet again."
